Born in 1961 in Nishimera Village, Miyazaki, Japan, Takahiro Ogawa worked as a commercial photographer in Tokyo until 2001. Since then, he returned to his hometown, Nishimera Village, where he has continued to present photo collections and exhibitions that tell the story of life in the village.
He has published five books: Okaeri, Yui no Mura, Ogawa Takahiro Mainichi Koushin, Asanponosusume, and Let’s Keep Our Heads Up: Heisei Nishimeran Youths in the Wild.
