This is a time when we are making progress toward the exit of COVID-19 tunnel with the dedication of all of you who are working on the front lines of medicine and other fields.

I hope that we will remember to be grateful and live each day, and that the day will come sooner than later when we can all get together again and talk with each other in good spirits and fun.

I have been photographing in Myanmar, Southeast Asia, as my life's work. Since 2013, Myanmar has been going through a tumultuous period in which the new civilization and the old culture are colliding. I have been photographing the people of Myanmar and their lives since 2005, when the country was under military rule. The strong and clear eyes of the people I see here must have been the same in Japan. I continue to take photographs of Myanmar, hoping that the country will continue to develop while celebrating its people's happiness.
