Graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Science and Technology, Nihon University, 1967.

While working as a civil engineering technician at Yokohama City Hall, he taught himself photography.

He discovered the significance of his own photography activities through photographing concerts of the citizens' orchestra and youth soccer clubs.

He retired from Yokohama City in 2017 and became a freelance photographer.

Currently, he is active in school photography, on-site shooting of concerts and sports, and teaching photography classes.

He lives in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
